We got our first Bulldog, Beau, in 2004, when we tragically lost our male Maltese, Koty at age 10.  We know that the Lord gave  Beau to us because He knew we needed him - as did our female Maltese, Lexi. She was in a sad depression over the loss of her best friend Koty and she needed a Big Friend to watch over her!

I won’t go into the whole story now, but just so you know—BEAU was just over seven weeks old when he helped to heal and mend the broken hearts in our entire family. We thank the Lord for this precious gift of life and unconditional love, via the companionship of a Beau-tiful little puppy….because of Beau's kind and gentle sprit, none of us will ever be the same again. We were bitten by the 'Bully Bug'.

Some think its an odd combination, but we believe the Maltese and the English Bulldog are both some of the absolute, best family pets you will ever, ever give your heart to! And trust me, its very easy to lose your heart...obviously, we did, because in the early winter of 2006 we added another Bully to our family!  Her name is Faith. You can find out more about Faith on the Meet the Parents page!

Like I said, we also had a sweet, little female Maltese, Lexi. She was the perfect lap dog. She was my constant shadow. Sadly, Lexi was 13 years old when she finally went to be with Koty and wait by the RAINBOW BRIDGE in 2008. We still miss them both very much!

Since then, we have adopted another beautiful little toy Maltese, her name is Savannah – that is where we were in July 2008 when we were blessed with findning her. She was 8 weeks old and the most precious little ball of fire you could ask for. We should have named her ‘Li’l Pistol’ cause she sure is one!

Again the Good Lord knew exactly what we needed when He blessed us with Savannah, because –( shhh….don’t tell her, but, she THINKS she’s a bulldog! ) Savannah is so spunky and full of life and she LOVES bossing around Faith & Beau! and Faith just loves her and mothers her like she does her own puppies!

Speaking of Puppies, out of Faith and Marcus' last litter of six, we kept two. The whole litter was absolutely stunning, but of course we couldn't keep them all. Besides, that would have been selfish, so Noah and Legacy found a permanent place in our hearts and now share our home too. Incidentally, they will also both be making their rounds in the dog show rings this Spring. Lastly, we also have a beautiful miniature Silver Tip Persian cat. Tessa just likes to sit back and look pretty, and oh yeah...let the others know, every now and again, that she is the true Queen of the Castle.
